This past weekend was such a productive and fun time for Kyle and me. It started by beginning our registry, which I must say is a little overwhelming, but so exciting at the same time! When my parents, Kyle and I first arrived we weren't sure what to expect, but quickly realized how much trouble Kyle and I would get into when the scanner was handed over! After all the paperwork was complete with our trusty wedding registry expert Henry, we grabbed our gear and put our registering game faces on.

With all the buildup you would think we had a plan of action, but even with my multiple registry checklists (and the one Macy's provided) we scattered like kids in a candy shop! Kyle was in charge of the scanner while I kept everyone on track with our check list. And while there were so many things that caught our eye, we kept focused to try and pinpoint our first item.

Our first registry item would be a coffee maker! |
Once we had a game plan we easily moved through the aisles and our conversations began to resemble something like this....Me: "Honey do you think we need a juice extractor or a quesadilla maker?" Kyle: "Ehhh, sure why not!" Although we decided against some items (like the apparently necessary juice extractor and quesadilla maker) we were able to put a big dent in our checklist. One of things I quickly became obsessed with was the china we picked out! There is a lot of debate in the wedding world about fine china on registries and if it is still necessary. But after talking with Henry (our oh so fabulous registry helper) we were convinced that every couple deserves and needs a beautiful set of china. So after careful selection we decided on a simple design...

So in love!!! Cannot wait to (hopefully) entertain with this place setting in the coming year! |
Surprisingly picking out the china, flatware and stemware was one of the easier things to do and I could not be happier with our selection! After about three and a half hours we decided to call it quits and enjoy a much deserved meal at Kona Grill at La Cantera.

Don't let the smiles fool you, we were exhausted! :) |
The day was such a blast and ended even better with a birthday dinner celebration downtown at Acenar. As many times as we have gone downtown, it has a whole new meaning knowing we will be getting married there in less than a year!
